No sleep for the sleepy

So last night was very non restful. It seemed like all was going well until Haylee wakes up at 10pm. For some reason she is not sleeping well at all lately. Her ears are fine, they were checked at the doctors office yesterday. Christopher started off with Haylee but as soon as he put her in bed it started again. My turn. We sat rocking in the chair for quite a while. She seemed asleep in every way except that her eyes were still open. She looked so tired. I decided to try standing up and rocking side to side. That went on for a while and i set her in bed.

Nope.

This wasn't her just I don't want to sleep cry. It's the I'm lonely, I don't feel good, sad cry that you just can't leave alone. So I gave her a few minutes but it only got worse. So into bed with mom and dad she went. She saw Rylee's bottle and wanted one so I made her one. She was a little happier but still not quite right. After a while there I asked if she was ready to go to her own bed. She said no, then yes. So off we went...it is about 330am now. I sing twinkle twinkle one more time and lay her down.

Almost...then the tired cry comes. The tired cry I am okay with and goes away within 15 minutes. Finally she sleeps...

Mom (me) goes to get in bed, covers up with blankys chris has been keeping warm, close my eyes...

Nope...

Rylee's turn

Rylee has been coughing most of the night from drainage in her throat. Now everytime she coughs she cries. So we make sure it's not hunger, nope. Up with mommy she goes. She sort of kinda sleeps leaning against mom tummy to tummy. After a while I put her back in the swing (she's been sleeping there, easier to breathe sitting up a bit). She takes some water, a little easier for her. No sleeping though, more coughing..etc. Then she takes 4 oz of formula and back up with mommy again. Still not sleeping, just tipping side to side because she is so tired.

Eventually...around 6:30am she falls asleep, deep sleep. YAY.

At 8:30am I have to wake up Rylee to get her ready to go, then Haylee.

Haylee had a doctors appointment with the ENT today because she has had a funny big lump on the inside of her lip. The pediatrician didn't really know but guessed it was a cyst. It ended up being a plugged mucus duct or something so the mucus just filled in like a bubble. Gross yes!

They numbed it and cut it off, cotterized it (no idea on spelling at all) and they said it went well and hopefully wont come back. If it does they will have to go deeper next time.

Poor babies!
