At 34 weeks I went into preterm labor again, but the doctors office was open this time so they had me go there for the fun IVs and medications to stop contractions. My wonderful sister in law Ashlee stayed in the dr office with me while my amazing mom was taking care of Haylee. I got to the doctors before I had progressed much which was good and after the contractions were stopped I was sent home.
At 36 1/2 weeks I went to the doctors because my contractions were ranging from 2 to 8 in an hour but weren't quite timable...I wanted to get checked before the weekend started to try and avoid an ER visit if possible. I had progressed to 4cm but the contractions started slowing. The doctor said I could have a baby that night or very soon. We were hoping to make it to 37 weeks (no longer preemie stage). I was told to go home and if the contractions came back like before to go to the ER. They didn't...till Monday early morning...
Monday 4/5/10 I woke up at 1AM...and every 13-15 minutes till about 2:15AM with contractions...I thought at one point I should wake Christopher and have him take me to the ER but then my mind said "no, I'm barely at 4 an hour and it has only been one hour"...then all the sudden at 2:15AM I was getting them like 2-3 minutes apart. Christopher woke up asking if I was okay....
Basically from there I said no, he got my parents up to watch Haylee so we could go to the hospital. Haylee was already up because mommy was loud with her pain. She would cry with me then cuddle a little while Christopher got the car ready. We drove to the hospital.
We got to the hospital about 3:30AM and I was at 8cm already. In order to get any medication I had to have a full bag of IV in me first. At 10cm I was given a spinal block (THANKFULLY) because I came in too far along for an epidural. Within 10 minutes I pushed twice and there was Rylee!
Rylee Brynne Hartman was 5 pounds 13 ounces and 17 1/2 inches long! She was born at 446AM.
I have decided I would rather have a longer labor with an epidural early on than just over an hour at the hospital with no meds till pushing time. Not only because of the pain but I don't want to have a baby in the car or the side of the road!
Here are some pictures!

Congrats!! Cute baby! And I totally agree with the longer labor and an epidural... I didnt even have time for the spinal block with Brooklyn. 25 mins from admissions to baby haha. Im glad you made there in time for a little bit of drugs. We'll have to come up and see you guys after you have some time to recover :)
We can't wait to meet her! She is gorgous, just like her mommy and big sister!
